Cambodia

A land of tropical rainforests, lush highlands, exotic animals, flowing rivers, off-shore islands and ancient temples.

In the 1960s it was a country of prosperity and Western influences.  Education, health, fashion, transport, building developments and infrastructure were evolving harmoniously within a rich culture and beautiful religions.

Education was important; the western education model was implemented alongside their traditional educational system.

It was a progressive and somewhat, peaceful country.

Then why is Cambodia now one of the poorest, poverty stricken and uneducated countries in the world?
